New in-house calibre by Oris

Unveiled on September 5th, the Big Crown ProPilot X Calibre 115 contains the first skeleton movement by Oris.

This creation draws its inspiration from the nature, architecture and aviation of the Waldenburg Valley, the region surrounding the village of Hölstein where Oris has been established since its foundation in 1904. With the launch of this timepiece, the watchmaker is reinforcing its growing desire to live authentic experiences.

Framed by a brushed titanium case, this 44mm piece reveals all and hides nothing. The barrel appearing at 12 o’clock is no exception, fully displaying the deliberately visible mainspring. This fascinating mechanism features edges that are neither sharpened nor bevelled. Left in their natural state, they reflect the desire to give pride of place to the operation of this mechanical watch. The hand-wound 115 calibre has a ten-day autonomy, a non-linear power-reserve indicator and a small seconds function.
