Brand-new setting for Bergeon

Building on its uncontested experience and reputation forged over the past 227 years, Bergeon is clearly confident in the future of the watchmaking, jewellery and microtechnical professions, since it has chosen to pursue its development in a brand-new production facility located close to a number of neighbouring companies that are also its customers.

Its various areas of competence are now regrouped on a single site in La Chaux-de-Fonds, in a new building that is part of the innovative “Les Industriels des Sentiers” project encompassing ten or so companies.

With the arrival in the near future of the Bergeon Mécanique subsidiary, currently located in Cortaillod, a 70-strong workforce will be active under one roof and thereby benefit from the synergies between their various skills.

Bergeon has a catalogue comprising around 12,000 items, most of which stem from internal developments. From watchmaker’s screw-drivers to tweezers, alongside more complex apparatus and specialised furniture, the firm does all in its power to satisfy demanding clients with a comprehensive range of products.

The R&D and technical department is composed of technicians and engineers who daily develop – in accordance with market needs, as well as made-to-order – a range of suitable tools and equipment produced and assembled in the workshops in La Chaux-de-Fonds. The company also offers a broad range of traded products as well as other specific items under license.

Bergeon has around 3,000 customers in Switzerland and its distribution network comprises 400 points of sale abroad in around 100 countries. Its clientele includes after-sales service centres of Swiss watch brands around the world, along with schools and training centres. The company also has an office in Hong Kong for its activities in South-East Asia, as well as an antenna in Shenzhen for those in mainland China.
