Chantilly Art & Elégance Richard Mille

A keen devotee of elegance in all its forms, the watch firm celebrated refinement at the Chantilly Art & Elegance Richard Mille 2017 this September. This fourth edition of this famous French automobile competition attracted 16,000 visitors.

After the inauguration of an art exhibition, the event was enhanced by two rallies. The first featured 90 cars competing in the Concours d’Etat, while the second encompassed 800 supercars registered for the Grand Prix des Clubs. Richard Mille also celebrated the 70th anniversary of Ferrari with around 30 chassis having taken part in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

After a stunning equestrian show performed by Mario Lurashi and his team, that the judges, including FIA (Fédération international de l’automobile) president Jean Todt, bestowed the Richard Mille Concours d’Elégance prizes on the Renault Trezor – an electric-drive sport coupe GT – and the Citroën Cxperience & Yang Li. The prize for Best of Show was conferred on the unbelievable Bugatti 57 S Atlantic (1936) in the Pre-War class, and the Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa (1958) in the Post-War category.

Notable guests included various partners of the Jura-based Maison, including athlete Mutaz Barshim, racing drivers Felipe Massa and Romain Grosjean and dressage rider Jessica von Bredow-Werndl.
