Hublot partner of the Bol d'Or Mirabaud

For the fifth year running, Hublot served as partner and official timekeeper of the Bol d’Or Mirabaud which took place from June 16th to 18th.

The experienced teams set off from the Port Noir in Geneva to cover the 66.5 nautical miles (123 km) of the route from Port Noir
to Le Bouveret and back. No less than a hundred volunteers and 20 boats from the Société nautique de Genève helped support the 500 sailboats competing in the event.

The two boats owned by the Bertarelli family, with cutting-edge crews on board, dominated this 79th edition of the Bol d’Or Mirabaud. Sailing neck and neck during most of the race, they gained an impressive lead over their direct pursuers, finishing super close with just one minute and 34 seconds between them, but eight minutes and 23 seconds ahead of the GC 32 Realteam hydrofoil catamaran.

Thousands of spectators watched the race start on the shores of Lake Geneva, where Hublot had set up a pop-up store displaying an exclusive watch produced in a 79-piece limited edition: the Classic Fusion Chronograph Bol d’Or Mirabaud 2017. Inspired by the nautical world, this model in Texalium and blue ceramic is a perfect match with this legendary race.
