During the Harmony Geneva Marathon for Unicef event, the marathon and half-marathon runners as well as the relay racers had an opportunity to support the charitable entity by prolonging their efforts for a symbolic extra mile along Quai Général Guisan after already crossing the finishing line.
Just under 4,000 athletes set out in this way on the course with truly palpable enthusiasm. This initiative proved successful with just under 30,000 francs collected for the benefit of the children’s organisation. These funds will permit the construction of hydraulic pumps to guarantee access to drinking water for families and communities in countries faced with an emergency situation. This is an initiative of the partnership between Montblanc and Unicef, in the context of the firm’s new collection entitled «The Gift of Writing».
As a loyal partner of the children’s organisation for the past thirteen years, Montblanc is continuing its commitment to fight illiteracy and give deprived children access to good primary education.
