Richemont establishes itself in Microcity

In a rapidly evolving technical environment, Richemont has decided to create a new research and innovation centre which is destined to become a place for sharing experiences between its member firms and an incubator of innovation for the group as a whole.

This new centre will mutualise efforts and facilitate exchanges between researchers in a spirit of efficiency and creativity. Initially employing some thirty persons, the centre is destined to expand with the recruitment in 2018 of some twenty engineers specialising in micro-systems, micro-manufacturing and micro-engineering.

Richemont is proud to take its place alongside prestigious players in innovation in Switzerland and to cooperate with the Neuchâtel innovation centre in that spirit by installing its teams at the heart of Microcity. The group is therefore joining an incomparable industrial and academic ecosystem in collaboration with key players in the sector, i.e. EPFL-IMT, CSEM, He-Arc, UniNE and the Neode start-up incubator.

Already a partner of the Galatea Laboratory at the EPFL University in Neuchâtel since the creation of a professorial chair in 2014, Richemont will now have an even higher profile in the Canton of Neuchâtel which is home to a large part of its production activity.
