Presentation of the Piaget Young Talents Prizes

Piaget and the High School of Art and Design of Geneva (HEAD) are pleased to announce the continuation of their partnership in favour of students of jewellery, watch and accessory design on the Bachelor and Masters programmes.

The fourth edition challenged the creativity of students in the context of two design workshops closely linked to Piaget’s own DNA. A first workshop dedicated to watch design consisted in revisiting the Gala watch; a second, centring on jewellery design, gave students carte blanche to interpret a rose. The scenographic interpretation for the display of the projects was an integral part of the competition.

The variety of the results testified to the vitality of watchmaking design and scenography, to say nothing of the creativity and determination of the young talents at HEAD Geneva who responded to the appeal by the brand.

The Piaget Young Talents in Revisit Gala Limelight Access watch design prize winners are: Sandra Garsaud, who has won an internship at the Piaget watch creation studio when she finishes her bachelor’s degree course in 2017. The runners-up are Fiona Felisberto and Iris Gigon.

The Piaget Young Talents winners in Extraordinary Rose jewellery design are Lou Chartres for her "Minorganic" project. She has won an internship in the firm’s jewellery creation studio during the second year of her bachelor’s course. The runners-up are Yesmine Ben Ayed for her «Eternal Roses» project and Florian Wicki with «Yves Gérald Piaget».

At a time when new graduates and recent students join the world of work through various routes, support from enterprises and brands to further their careers can be decisive. This support is based on the long-term links established between the school and enterprises which have taken on the mission of following and encouraging new design and creative talent. The renewed support by Piaget for the Young Talents prize winners from HEAD Geneva is a fine example of this.
