Acquisition by the Citizen group

Founded 25 years ago, Frédérique Constant, a brand that produces Swiss watches at affordable prices, has been under constant development and is today a global watch brand that makes and sells 150,000 pieces a year. This result was obtained thanks to close collaboration with an expanding group of committed partners. The Heart Beat was born, the Alpina brand was acquired, the Ateliers deMonaco were created and, most recently, a smartwatch was launched: all these events and more have marked the last two and a half decades.

Convinced that the Frédérique Constant group could benefit considerably from Citizen’s strengths, Aletta and Peter Stas accepted the takeover bid by the Japanese group. They will remain in their current positions for a minimum of five years.
