For the first time in its history, on 19 May in Zurich in the presence of around 800 guests, the 2004 Master of Swiss Web prize was awarded to a firm from French-speaking Switzerland: the young watchmaking firm from Martigny Factory121, which was rewarded for its innovative approach to business development (its site www.121time.com allows Internet users, in a particularly user-friendly environment, to design their own Swiss made watch at an unbeatable price). The three founders of the company - Frédéric Polli, Jean-Louis Ribordy and Daniel Morf (from right to left in our photo) – came out on top from among 272 projects submitted and were praised by the panel of judges, who noted that "121time succeeded with astonishingly meagre resources". This was confirmed by a delighted Frédéric Polli: "We have shown what can be achieved with lots of motivation, commitment and determination," commented the director of the Martigny based company, clearly proud of having outshone a number of big players with considerably greater financial resources.
