Swiss watch export statistics are updated every month. They are based on foreign trade statistics compiled by the Federal Customs Administration. All figures are expressed at export prices, as declared by exporting companies.
September 2026
In September, Swiss watch exports rose by 11.7%, marking a fourth consecutive month of growth. Over the first nine months of the year, their cumulative value reached CHF 19.5 billion, up 2.7% compared with the same period of the previous year.
Each year, the FH compares the results of the main watch-producing or watch-exporting countries in a concise, illustrated report. The document provides a global overview of developments in the industry.
The statistics published by the FH are based on export figures, not on sales to end consumers. These two sets of figures may differ. Furthermore, FH statistics consolidate exports from all Swiss watchmaking companies. They therefore cannot be used to assess the business performance of any particular company or group, as performance may vary from one market participant to another.
