TAG Heuer pays tribute to motor racing

TAG Heuer has teamed up with the Ikuzawa team, which evokes the world of motor racing, to create a watch that combines the expertise of TAG Heuer, designer George Bamford and the artistic vision of Mai Ikuzawa, artist and daughter of Tetsu Ikuzawa, the pioneer of motor racing in Japan. Produced in a 100-piece edition, this timepiece is distinguished by its red and white colours, a tribute to the Japanese company.

Two chronograph counters in white and red are positioned on the white opaline dial at 3 and 9 o’clock respectively, while the days are displayed in an aperture at 6 o’clock. The hands and hour-markers are adorned with white Super-LumiNova and red lacquer, further accentuating the watch’s sporty look. The dial also features the Team Ikuzawa “Choice of Racing Enthusiasts” insignia. Housed in a 42mm brushed and polished steel case, this timepiece is powered by the automatic Heuer 02 calibre.

The movement can be admired through the sapphire crystal caseback, which is embossed with the “Team Ikuzawa” and “Bamford Watch Dept” logos, as well as the number of the limited series. Water-resistant to 100 metres, this timepiece is fitted with a steel bracelet secured by a folding clasp, along with an additional white calfskin strap with red “Team Ikuzawa” branding printed on it.
