Consecration for Ferdinand Berthoud in 2018

Chronométrie Ferdinand Berthoud has had a successful 2018 year.

Since its renaissance in 2015, under the impetus of Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, the Maison has reached a cruising speed punctuated by unmissable events attracting watchmakers and collectors. Rewarded right from its first creation by the ultimate accolade of the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève in 2016 (“Aiguille d’Or” best in show distinction), the company continues to reap accolades around the world.

Each of the brand’s new releases in 2018 product has been awarded a prize. The new “Régulateur” FB 1R collection, in its carburised steel version, received the “Best Tourbillon Watch, 2018 Middle East Watch and Jewellery of the Year” prize as well as the the “Beste Armbanduhr Handwerkskunst, Robb Report Luxury Award 2018/2019”. The Chronomètre FB1 Edition Malaspina was honoured at SIAR (Salón Internacional Alta Relojería) by the “Premio de la Crítica”, the supreme award of this essential event.

As part of its determination to honour the historical achievements of Ferdinand Berthoud, the Manufacture also announced its three-year commitment to supporting the Geneva-based cultural association “Art en Vieille Ville”. This initiative brings together thirteen prestigious art and antique galleries and three renowned cultural institutions. Drawing on the diversity and know-how of its members, the association aims to promote works of high quality.
