Swatch is partnering with the Musée du Louvre

After joint collaborations in 2018 with the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam and the Thyssen-Bornemisza museum in Madrid, Swatch continues its creative journey making its third stop at the Musée du Louvre in Paris.

Four new watch models put the Mona Lisa and other masterpieces from the Louvre’s collections in the spotlight, bringing art right to the wrist of the people – Swatchy twists included!

With Lisa Masquée, Leonardo da Vinci’s portrait of Lisa Gherardini aka Mona Lisa is given a contemporary makeover. Its mirror dial plays with YlOUvre whilst the Lady herself keeps flirting in her long-known manner, adorned by an orange mask.

Full-body portraits of Marie de Médicis and her husband Henry IV of France by Frans II Pourbus, Le Jeune from the early 17th century come back to life with Hairyblue Mary and Henrytheforce.

In line with the “dernier cri” at the French Royal Household, Marie has changed her hair color to royal blue, whereas Henry has dared to opt for red hipster glasses.

The cupid of Guido Reni’s “The Abduction of Helen” finds his way onto Fleche D’amour, pointing in the right direction: a red heart, indicating the date to fall in love (again).

Where to next? Swatch will continue its journey through the world’s inspiring art museums in 2020 – stay tuned!
