Rolex at the French Open

The 2019 edition of the French Open was a special event for the watch brand, which for the first time in its history was a premium partner and official watch of the tournament.

From May 26th to June 9th, the world’s best players gathered in Paris for the second Grand Slam of the year, the only one to be held on clay.

For more than 40 years, Rolex has distinguished itself through its unfailing commitment to the world of tennis. It was in 1978 that the brand became the official watch of the oldest and most popular tournament: The Championships, Wimbledon.

On clay courts, the French Open tournament is undoubtedly the highlight of the season. This surface gave rise to long and exciting exchanges that required significant mental and physical commitment from the players. Patience, precision and perseverance were essential for Rafael Nadal to win the coveted title, after competing in the semi-final against Rolex Ambassador Roger Federer.
