Longines partner of the city of Deauville

After the success of a similar partnership three years earlier with the prestigious alpine village of St. Moritz, Longines is proud and honoured to repeat the experience with the city of Deauville, where it becomes the official partner.

This new commitment notably features a collaboration with the Pôle international du cheval Longines Deauville, an equestrian complex that hosts renowned national and international competitions, including the famous Longines Deauville Classic. It also includes the Longines 25th Hour Photographic Contest, which is held every year during the transition to winter time: it invites participants to take a snapshot of the city between midnight and 1am to capture this unique 25th hour of the day.

Horses have left their indelible hoofprints on the history of Deauville since its founding. One may recall that the man who gave birth to the resort, the Duke of Morny, had the town’s racecourse built before its church. Today, between its two racecourses and its Pôle international du cheval, the city hosts horse races in seven months out of each year, auctions of thoroughbreds and trotters, a world polo championship, a training centre, show jumping and dressage competitions, as well as paddock-polo and horse-ball tournaments.
