Parmigiani Fleurier and the Montreux Jazz Festival

Zucchero, Massive Attack, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Iggy Pop, Deep Purple, Billy Idol… These are just some of the big names that kept crowds swaying to the beat on the shores of Lake Geneva from June 29th to July 14th.

For its 52nd edition, the Montreux Jazz Festival reaffirmed the foundations of its success: namely the quality of its programming and an extremely close rapport with artists. For the 11th year running, Parmigiani Fleurier served as the festival’s Global Partner. At the heart of a private lodge with an incredible view over Lake Geneva, the watch Maison shared warm musical evenings with its customers and friends throughout the event.

This year, Parmigiani Fleurier welcomed a new friend of the brand. American music producer and performer Ryan Leslie has gained international recognition by presenting prominent artists in a wide variety of musical genres. This singer-songwriter and rapper is also a Harvard graduate as well as CEO and founder of SuperPhone, a company developing an innovative CRM system.

As is its custom, Parmigiani presented ten special editions of its Kalpa collection, featuring dials bearing a musical theme in tribute to the Montreux Jazz Festival. A piano keyboard-type motif adorns the rim of a men’s Kalpa Grande, as well as a gemset ladies’ Kalparisma. Each of these two editions is issued in a five-piece series and engraved on the back with the inscription “Montreux Jazz Festival 2018”.
