Excellent 2017 results for Kering

The French luxury group “delivered a phenomenal year in 2017”, according to its Chairman and CEO François-Henri Pinault.

Kering posted sales amounting to 15,478 million euros, a 25.0% rise in published figures and 27.2% on a comparable basis. Recurring operating income shot up by +56.3% to 2,945 million, generating a +19% operating margin.

Luxury activities topped the 10 billion euros mark, up 29.9% year on year based on comparable data. Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent significantly contributed to these impressive results by posting comparable growth that was up 44.6% and 25.3% respectively.

The Kering group develops a range of luxury Maisons in the fields of fashion, leather goods, jewellery and watches, notably including Gucci, Boucheron, Girard-Perregaux and Ulysse Nardin.
