The E--Strap of Frédérique Constant

Designed and made by the experts who created the Horological Smartwatch, it represents a logical new phase to endow existing watches with intelligent functions. Fine, ultra-discreet and covered by the leather strap, the clasp extension is barely visible but, make no mistake, the E-Strap is based on the technological platform of the Horological Smartwatch and benefits from its sophisticated functions. Its users also have access to the MMT-365 application associated with the Horological Smartwatches.

The new E-Strap can be attached to any analogue watch with a width between the horns of 20-22 mm. Elegant and refined, harmonising with the most exacting watchmaking codes, it is available in a wide range of different colours. The E-Strap clasp comes in stainless steel or steel plated with rose gold or yellow gold. Incorporated in the clasp, the module is fitted with an ultra-low power processor, a highly integrated electronic device with Bluetooth capability and a rechargeable battery. The unit is on sale at a price between 229 and 249 francs. In addition, the E-Strap is delivered with a special tool enabling the clasp to be secured on any other strap provided that the width between the horns is from 20 to 22 mm.

The E-Strap benefits from an activity monitor (number of steps, calories burnt, distance covered each day) and a sleep monitor (when placed under the pillow it records information about the sleep cycle); it features a sleep-based alarm which allows an «intelligent» wake-up. It also has a Get Active alert to remind the wearer that it is time to move after a long period of inactivity. This alarm can be personalised directly via the MMT-365 application. All the data are safeguarded on the Cloud so that they can be recovered if the E-Strap or mobile telephone is lost.
