The Dubois Laboratory expands

The Dubois Laboratory which is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year will soon be undertaking major works.

The building at Rue Alexis-Marie-Piaget 50, in La Chaux-de-Fonds, is to be enlarged with the addition of a new top floor. Work is due to begin in April and will take around one year.

The new floor space will house the chemistry laboratory. This is too small at present to handle all its activities. This department performs analyses of regulated substances as well as routine and investigative works. The space that is released will enable the other departments to improve their own installations.

The founder and honorary Chairman of the Laboratory, Henri Dubois, commented: «I particularly welcome this decision taken by the Board of Directors in our anniversary year. It testifies to our confidence in the future for our staff and clients alike». Patrick Dubois, the present Chairman, added «A detailed study of this project in 2016 convinced us that it was essential».
