Longines Future Ski Champions 2017

Clarisse Brèche

Following its launch in 2013, the Longines Future Ski Champions race was run for the first time during the World Alpine Ski Championships held last February in St. Moritz.

Under conditions identical to those encountered by professionals, the rising stars of the discipline were able to measure their skill against one another in a giant slalom.

The thirteen young women from thirteen countries who competed in this 2017 edition followed in the traces of the greatest champions on the official piste of these world championships. Erika Pykäläinen of Finland topped the ranking followed by Aline Höpli of Switzerland and Clarisse Brèche of France. Regarded as a source of inspiration for the young female athletes, the US champion Mikaela Shiffrin, Longines ambassadress for elegance, kept a close watch on this competition as the event patron.
