Management changes at Dubois Dépraz

The Board of Directors of the Dubois Dépraz group has appointed Pierre Dubois (brother of Jean-Philippe and Pascal Dubois, Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors respectively) to the general management of the group, taking over from Bruno Moutarlier. Pierre Dubois will start his new duties on 1 July.

This family appointment follows an important strategic mission lasting for five years entrusted to Bruno Moutarlier, who was taken on board first as an independent consultant and later as industrial director before finally being appointed managing director. The aim which has now been achieved was to strengthen the sustainability of Dubois Dépraz by putting in place a competent, flexible, creative and competitive matrix organisation in parallel with a renewed focus on strong and independent family governance, bearing in mind the fact that all the shares in the company are in family ownership.

After graduating with a university degree, Pierre Dubois began his career at a major Swiss bank in Geneva and Zurich, before being recruited by a watch manufacturer in Le Brassus in 1990. He went on to spend 14 years there, occupying the post of financial director and then that of director of operations. In 2004, he founded the Pierre DeRoche watch brand, which he has headed up for more than twelve years with his wife, Carole Dubois. Pierre Dubois deployed his managerial and financial skills as well as a sound knowledge of the watch industry to great advantage. His new duties as managing director of the group will be a full-time occupation and he will resign from his post of CEO at Pierre DeRoche in the meantime. Carole Dubois will take over the management on an interim basis.

The new group organisation has been strengthened in particular by the successive nominations of Stéphane Berthoud as technical director since January 2016 and Raphaël Ackermann as industrial director since September 2016.
