Breitling partner of the Patrouille Suisse

The cult watch brand among aviators is reinforcing its longstanding ties with the Swiss air force aerobatics team by becoming its official partner and official watch. A natural rapprochement between two specialists of Swiss made precision and performance.

Created in 1964, the Patrouille Suisse has established itself as one of the finest ambassadors of Swiss excellence worldwide. In 1994, the brand with the winged B celebrated the 30th anniversary of the team by launching a limited edition of the legendary Navitimer pilot’s chronograph. In 2014, it saluted half a century of airborne exploits by introducing a Chronomat 44 GMT limited edition. For more than twenty years, the pilots of the Patrouille Suisse have been testing Breitling chronographs on a daily basis, which currently means exclusive personalized versions of the Emergency, the first wristwatch with a built-in dual frequency personal locator beacon.

Breitling has now taken a new step by becoming the official partner and official watch of the Patrouille Suisse. As in the past, pilots will continue taking part in events organized by the brand, such as the recent inauguration of Breitling’s Geneva boutique. This cooperation will also lead to the launch of an exclusive model dedicated to the team.

Through this even closer association with the Patrouille Suisse, Breitling is strengthening its longstanding official ties with the world’s most prestigious flight teams, such as the Frecce Tricolori (Italy), the Red Arrows (United Kingdom), the Patrulla Aguila (Spain) and the Thunderbirds (United States). An array of elite units that pay Breitling the honour of testing its instruments on a daily basis, and for which the brand has created a number of versions flying their respective colours.
