At a press conference held on 6 September, Peter Stas (owner) and Philippe Fraboulet (director) unveiled the latest innovations introduced by Manufacture Modules Technologies (MMT), a spin-off from the Frédérique Constant Group.
MMT is a Swiss company established in Geneva since 2015 for the development and commercial sale of the modules, microprogram, applications and cloud of the Horological Smartwatch. It offers a comprehensive integrated navigation system for Horological Smartwatches: firmware, iOS and Android apps, Cloud, OTA, production and associated services. The MMT modules have been used by brands such as Frédérique Constant, Movado, Mondaine, Ferragamo and Alpina. The company makes over 70,000 modules. MMT supplies software and hardware equipment for the Swiss watch industry. The company will pursue its innovations and deployment in the development and manufacture of new modules and mobile applications.
Innovation lies at the heart of all the activity of MMT. The firm grants licences and owns over 150 patents (either registered or applied for) covering design, display, software, images, algorithms, machine learning and copyright of all kinds. The patented innovations cover the characteristics and functions which are at the heart of the Horological Smartwatch today.
