Innovations and optimism for the EPHJ 2015

EPHJ-EPMT-SMT, the leading Swiss and European exhibition devoted to high precision industries, will take place from 2 to 5 June this year at Palexpo.

The total floor space reserved to date is up compared to the same period last year. In 2014, 832 exhibitors representing fifteen countries occupied stands at this industry platform, which attracted 18,600 professional visitors from 58 countries.

Since its creation in 2002, EPHJ-EPMT-SMT has grown year on year. The constant search for quality goes hand in hand with non-stop reflection on the changes and innovations needed to maintain the exhibition’s appeal, be it in terms of the programme, logistics or visitor facilities. This year for example, a geolocation system inside the halls will enable visitors to find their way around even more easily; in addition, the Medtech Village built in collaboration with BioAlps and Inartis Network, benefiting from synergies between the fields of watchmaking and microtechnology, has become a definite fixture.

Round tables organised during the four days of the event will examine topics linked to the watch industry’s capacity for innovation, the financing of SMEs, 3D printing, and the future of medtechs. A leading industry personality will open this series of debates and reflections, which is expected to attract an audience of informed professionals. A full programme will be available shortly on the exhibition’s website www.ephj.ch.

As usual, many «technological firsts» will be presented at this fourteenth edition. These will be examined in advance by the selection committee of the exhibitors’ Grand Prix. The list of nominees prepared by the latter will then be submitted to exhibitors,
